Tesalia
Winery
A wine touched by
the breeze of two seas
The people, the spirit
This is the story of the search for perfection; the crafting of a unique wine , gleaned from the heart of Cadiz mountains.
Every great brand has a memorable story behind.
This is a love story. The love of a “crazy “ English family, who fell in love with a small village in an unspoiled land in the South of Spain. Captivated by the beauty of that place brimming with prospects, they decided to build their dream there. A dream to elaborate a wine for all the world to share the fruits of that rich land.
The Golding family, Natalia and Richard searched and found the best talent, a team whose quest was to yield the finest quality from every vineyard and variety.

The vineyards, the land
A secluded and picturesque location
Bodega Tesalia is located in the foothills of the Grazalema range, close to the historic village of Arcos de la Frontera (Cádiz). For many centuries, Arcos was a strategic town coveted for its privileged location. Its name originates from Roman times when it was founded as Arx-Arcis (the high fortress).
The Tesalia Estate stands on 106 hectares. Of the 22 hectares dedicated to the winery, 11 hectares are under vine, a further 30 hectares are dedicated to the horse breeding and competition area , and the rest is farmland.
The vineyards are planted on the slightly ondulating, north-facing sloope. The land is classic Andalucian terrain: clay soils lying above a subsoil of chalk.
Scarcely fertile country, but ideal for Petit Verdot and Tintitlla de Rota, and other varieties such as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Here, craftsmanship in the vineyard balances aeration and shade on the gentle north facing slopes helped by cool air of the montain and the sea breezes.
The jewel
of the south
Winemaking and ageing, art and science
All grapes are hand-harvested at night and the 10 vineyards blocks vinified separately, then blended and added complexity.
Clusters are carefully selected in the vineyard, and upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are displayed on tables for further selection.
Each variety reaches the wooden or stainless Steel fermentation deposits by gravity.
Controlled fermentation and aging mainly in new French oak barrels contribute to complexity and balance.
Time spent barrels is decided on an individual basis by taste testing. The wine is then clarified and bottled.
As a result, two wines that are an irresistible temptation.
Wines that transform any gathering into an unforgettable event.
